Biography

Tammy Armbrust is a supervisor at the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene, University of Wisconsin-Madison. She earned a MS in Animal Science from North Carolina State University, where she studied the genetics of reproductive traits in mice. Her background includes research experience on the effects of bacteria in well water on poultry, pathobiology of SARS CoV-2 and hemorrhagic fever viruses, and the genomics of white-opaque switching in the yeast Candida albicans. Her experience includes developing a wastewater-based testing program for an indigenous tribe in South Dakota and clinical laboratory experience.
