Biography
Dr. Sandra McLellan is a Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Freshwater Sciences. She earned her PhD in Environmental Health at School at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. For over 20 years, Dr. McLellan has been working on water issues in the Great Lakes, focusing on understanding the linkages between the environment and human health, particularly in urban coast systems. Since 2020, Dr. McLellan’s lab has been performing wastewater surveillance as a part of the National Wastewater Surveillance System to understand the trends of disease and pathogen spread in Wisconsin communities to contribute to public health response.
