Biography
Melissa Schussman is a laboratory manager and research specialist at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she earned her master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Her research with the School of Freshwater Sciences examines multiple dimensions of wastewater-based epidemiology and surveillance, exploring how various wastewater parameters can modulate viral and bacterial analyte signal in addition to assessing the best approaches for quantifying and analyzing pollutants in water systems, specifically storm water and freshwater systems.
