Biography
Shuchen Feng is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (UWM). She earned her Ph.D. in Freshwater Sciences from UWM, where she developed molecular assays based on sequencing data to detect and quantify human fecal contamination in water. Driven by her strong interest in public health and microbiology, Dr. Feng has contributed to real-time SARS-CoV-2 wastewater surveillance and research on viral evolution. Her current work focuses on understanding environmental antibiotic resistance in wastewater systems and the microorganisms involved.
